I can finally hear him.
It's like everything changes. My heartbeat, my thoughts, the feeling of the grass strands underneath my feet.
He is right behind me and I don’t need to turn around, or to ask anything to know. Because we are connected in a way I still can’t wrap my mind around. I stay where I am and he takes a step closer.
