Nathaniel My next meeting is later this afternoon. I walk over to the cabinet and take out a bottle, searching for a crystal glass. There is a knock on the door and I reply with a distracted “yes” Then I spot the glass and I pour myself from the whisky. I toss the whole shot and consider another. “Good afternoon, Sir, “my assistant greets as he comes in “I wanted to…” he pauses when he sees the now-empty glass in my hand. I pour myself another drink and proceed to my desk. It’s 12:15. I never drink.
