I stand there, and I know I look really weird just staring at the guy after I've just tried to pick up a fight with him. He takes a step towards me and touches my arm.
"Are you okay?" he is now smiling at me and I take an instinctive step backwards.
"She is perfectly fine. "
He growls and I feel two arms wrapping around my shoulders and pulling me.
Parker comes to stand between me and the guy.
"Thanks for all your concern, she's with me. Now enjoy the party. " The guy hesitates. He probably wonders whether to challenge Parker and then - knowing who Parker is, combined with the fact he's a dragon, the guy makes the right decision and takes a step back.
He lifts his hands, palms up in surrender and begins walking backwards.
