I nod to the servant and he smiles politely as he picks up my coat.
“They are expecting you in the eastern library.”
“I’d like to talk to Nathaniel first. “
“Very well, then. He is in his study. Shall I tell him?”
“No, he expects me. Thank you, Benedict. That would be all for now.”
“Yes, Sir. Oh, and- congratulations. “
“Thank you. “
I force the smile.
I head up the stairs. The place is magnificent. It’s decorated with fresh white lilies and their scent is being carried all around in the spacious manor.
