Where am I?
I take an alarmed look around and see Parker, sleeping in the chair opposite the bed. There’s another bed on the other side of the room, but it’s empty and apparently no one has slept in it. Everything on the other side of the room all things that belong to the other person- is kept in perfect order.
There’s a pile of books next to the empty bed and more books on the shelves next to it and some on the desk.
Then my eyes land on the shelves belonging to the other roommate, apparently- trophies from The Chase tournaments and other medals from sports contests.
Okay, apparently this is Parker’s room.
He is still sleeping.
Parker has draped his arm over his eyes and I call him.
“Parker!”
He wakes up instantly, almost jumping to his feet.
“What?”
“Wake up!”
