Kaya I get up slowly, as carefully as I can and glance at the bed opposite mine. Jessica is still sleeping, so I creep out of my bed and head towards the bathroom. I keep walking deliberately slowly – more than I normally would because I am not sure I want to see myself in the mirror. Once in there, I close the door carefully behind me and cast my eyes down, so I won’t see myself by accident on some reflected surface. Then I come to stand before the mirror. “Okay,” I whisper. I look up and meet my eyes in the mirror. I look the same. This is good. I expected to look like hell or something. I don’t feel that much different, except that I know she is here. I can feel her better than I did before. I also know that now I can shift. Shall we go for a run My wolf asks and I smile.
