Kaya
Theodor is coming right after me.
My tears are threatening to spill, so I turn my back on him and keep walking. Once I am outside and far enough from the house I can finally slow down.
Theodor is there too.
“I’m sorry. “
he says and I still don’t turn back to face him.
“Kaya. Please talk to me. “
I swallow my tears and wipe my wet eyes. He takes a step closer and I say, quietly.
“Don’t come near me. “
He stays where he is.
I don’t know how much time passes. We are just standing there, a meter away from each other and I don’t dare turn around. I take a deep breath and eventually speak.
“I’ve flipped all possible scenarios in my mind in the past ten or fifteen minutes. And no matter what the scenario is, the answer is always the same.“
He is quiet and I turn around.
