BRATINELLA: Alexandria Hermosa

CHAPTER 3

        IT STARTED THAT NIGHT at the party.  Since then, Chase would often call Alexandria. Almost every night. He also goes to their house as often as he calls her. He always brings flowers and chocolates during his visit. And sometimes, even fruits of different kind and many more.

        Maybe that was the reason why Alexandria has easily developed her feelings towards Chase. He's showering her with so much attention, gifts and most importantly, his time.

        That's why after a month, Chase confessed his feelings towards her and she didn't waste any more time and immediately gave him her sweetest yes and confessed her feelings too.

        "Is this real?" he shockingly said. He can't believe at what she just said.

        "Why? What did I say?"

        "You said you love me."

        "Yes I did! Why are you so shocked? It's real!" she giggled.

        "I just can't believe it. You're finally mine!" he exclaimed chuckling.

        "Which one? The one that I said I do love you or is it when I said I'll be your girlfriend even if it's just more than a month of knowing you?" she grins.

        He held my hands. "Both." He said without removing the grin on his face.

        LUCILLE'S FOREHEAD wrinkled after going to where her daughter is and noticed that she's all alone at the porch.

        "Where did Chase go? He was just here."

        "He just left mom. Why?"

        "I was about to call you both for dinner. You should not have let him leave that fast."

        "He's in a hurry mom."

        "Oh I see. Come on inside then, It's time for dinner. Your father is already waiting on the dining room."

        Lucille went ahead to the dining room with Alexandria following after her. Alejandro wondered where Chase is after his wife and daughter came into view inside their dining room.

        "Where did that young man go?"

        "He already left." His wife answered him.

        His eyes went to her daughter while she's on her way to her usual sit.

        "And you didn't even bother to invite him to join us in dinner?"

        "He's in a hurry dad. He just passed by."

        "Did he really just passed by or you demanded him to go over here?" her father asked giving her a suspicious look.

        His daughter smiled. "Actually, he called me a while ago before he came over here. He said he's supposed to come here by tomorrow because he and his brother has some business to attend to. I think it's a client that they have to meet at eight o'clock. But I told him I could not wait for tomorrow to tell him what I needed to say. I could not just say it over the phone. So I just told him to come over even just for a bit. Since he can't stay long or else he will be late for the meeting."

        "I see." Her father said nodding. "So that means he's not even your boyfriend, yet, you're already manipulating him?"

        "Dad!" she exclaimed having red tint on her cheeks.

        Her father just laughed. "I pity the guy. For sure he will be having a lot of headaches someday because of you. You just have to be a little sweeter and you'll be able to get whatever you want or even just by pouting your lips and you have that young man wrapped up in your cute little fingers."

        "Dad! You're bullying me again!" she said pouting. "I don't manipulate people. It's just that they can't help but to give in to my requests whenever I say please you know. It is not my fault right dad?" still pouting.

        "Is it really requests or demands?" he chuckles.

        Lucille smiled, happy seeing her husband teasing their daughter as always.

        "Hmmp!" she playfully sneered at her father. "And another thing dad, Chase is already my boyfriend. It was just moments ago when we confessed with each other. Is it okay with you and mom?" she hopefully looked at them.

        "There's no problem with me." Lucille answered with a smile. "I like the guy. I think he's really sweet and caring. And he came from a good family."

        "I have nothing bad to say to that young man either. He's a good man. I can see that he really loves you.  But wouldn't it be better if he doesn't always give in to your demands, am I right?" he grinned.

        WHAT ALEJANDRO SAID was all true.

        Chase was too good and always gives in in her every demands. Maybe she was just too lucky. She has parents who gives and grants everything she desires and so does her boyfriend.

        "Raymond?"

        "Yup! I thought you won't recognize me." He grins.

        "Since when did you came?" I asked with eagerness in her voice.

        "Just last week. And I have lots of gifts for you and Aunt Lucille."

        "Woah!" she said in glee.

        Raymond is her childhood best friend and was also her classmate in grade school. It's been how many years since she last saw him. Because after their graduation in junior high, his family flew all the way to UK to continue his studies there. His father wanted him to go to the University that he went in after senior high school.

        "So where's your parents?" he asked.

        "They went somewhere. What a bummer, you won't get to see mom today. But there's always next time right?"

        "Yeah, I guess you're right." He smiled.

        "I'm sure when mommy learns that you're here she will insist to go in your house instead to see you and your parents."

        ”If that so, then I won't stay too long Lex. I will have to go to Aunt Mariella for my gifts to her and her family."

        "Yeah, I'll accompany you outside."

        "Sure."

        After Raymond got in to his car he waved to her before he started the engine and left which she responded with wave.

        "Who is that guy?"

        Alexandria got startled when suddenly Chase showed up with his car on her front, his wind shield rolled down. Having wrinkled forehead while looking deeply at her.

        "Chase!"

        With a clenched jaw Chase went out of his car and went to her. She noticed his blank stare and furrowed eyebrows.

        "You haven't answered my question yet. Who is that guy? You're even waving at him!"

        "Don't tell me you're jealous?" she looked at him incredulously.

        "Don't I have the right to do so? You're my girlfriend, may I remind you that!" he spat.

        She sighed. "It will be better if we talk inside." She said shaking her head.

        His face was still blank even after they were inside their house.

        "Tell me, who is that guy Alex."

        "That's Raymond, he was my childhood friend and was also my classmate back in grade school and he just came from UK so he visited but mom and dad are not around because they have a gathering to attend so he left after giving our gifts. He didn't even stay that long."

        "Just a childhood friend?"

        "Yes, there's nothing more. He was just like a brother to me."

        He sighed. Chase held her other hand. "I-I'm sorry Alex. I just couldn't help myself but to get jealous. You know that I really love you, and knowing that you were with a man especially inside your house brings out the beast in me. I just don't want any other guy to steal you away from me, I can't bear even the thought of that." He said with pleading eyes.

        "If you really love me, then you should trust me Chase."

        "I trust you. But I don't trust the guys around you, those who are not your relatives."

        "Look Chase. No matter how many guys surround me, it doesn't matter at all if I will not spare a chance or even a glance to them. Which means it's up to me if I'm going to cheat on you or not."

        "I'm sorry Alex."

        She didn't respond. "Please…"

        "Can you forgive me?" he said with pleading eyes.

        "Yes."
