I stood in the center of the private room of our Alpha King while the Queen paced up and down with labored breaths. Goldie sat on the sofa, in her maid costume, because she still needed to act the part now that King Maxton was back. I knew my actions yesterday would have consequences, but I didn't exactly think much about the consequences yesterday because of my anger and need to defend myself against Hadrian.
However, I expected consequences, and I knew having King Maxton call a meeting over the incident would've only made matters worse for me. I was glad when he agreed to drop the topic without pressuring me about it, yet it didn't change the fact that the Alpha family would have a b***h out fest because of what I did to their son.
