Chapter 5

“Come on Shawn, or we going to be late!!!” Matt yells at me. This is our last year to attend the ceremony to find our mates. Everyone in our pack knows how anxious we are to find them. We are one of the strongest packs in our area, but that do not mean nothing to us if we don’t have our mates by our side to makes us stronger. Our mothers always told us we always need to be faithful to our mates, they are the most important part in our life’s. Don’t get me wrong, we may be virgins, but we did have our little fun, having done some foreplay with other she-wolves. Now however, we knew we cannot mess things up once we find our mates.

“Are you ready?!” Matt yells at me from the bottom of the stairs. “I’m coming, no need to yell at your alpha.” I tell him. We head out with the rest of the pack who are heading to the ceremony location as well. Once we arrived after four hours of driving, we head towards our tents, getting ready for dinner.

“Come on dude, I’m f*****g starving.” “Go ahead Matt. Ill meet you there.” I replied. Once he left, I decided to take a stroll. To be honest, I was not hungry. I was just too nervous. What if I do not meet my mate? I cannot choose no one is not my real mate. I try to calm myself before my wolf comes out. Suddenly, I hear light footsteps coming towards where I was standing. I rushed to the bushes as soon as they came to view. It was a she-wolf. The most gorgeous she-wolf I ever laid my ayes at. My wolf stirred awake, sniffing around. ‘Mate! Mate!’ my wolf exclaims. We can smell her, lavender scented with a hint of strawberries. I try to move as not to scare her, but with no luck she got scared. She turned around, startled. I stopped moving, looking at her. I did not want to scare her more than what she was already, so I stayed still, looking at my gorgeous mate.

My mate left right away, looking back to see that she was not followed. I came out from the bushes, looking at her longingly. She is perfect for me, with her long black hair to her mid back, her honey colored eyes and her caramel skin, she is the one for me. Once I was out from my thoughts, I decided to go back to my tent. Dinner was probably over, so there was no use in going now. All I wanted now was to find my mate and make her mine.

“Dude!!! Where have you been?” Matt yelled. He looked excited. “Sorry man, I had to take a walk to clear my head out.” I told him. “But what’s up? Why you so happy right now?” “I found my mate!!!” “Congrats Matt. You finally found her.” I tell him. I was happy for him. I know how much he wanted to find his mate, same way as I was. “I know man. I cannot wait for you to meet her tomorrow. She is great.” “Come on Matt, lets go to bed so tomorrow can come.” I said. We laughed and got ready for bed. All I could think of before I closed my eyes was my mate. I wonder where she is at now. And soon, I drift off to sleep, with my mate in my mind.
