Alora Pov Getting into the house I let ot a low scream, shutting my eyes tight as I leaned on the door for support. The turns of events in this past few hours has just been a lot to take in. Where do I get such amount of money from in hours?! Wait, am I even thinking this without asking my dad ? Slowly, I opened my eyes and was taken aback in surprise at the disheveled state of the sitting room. Everything made of glass and ceramics were all broken without a chance for repair, all my mother's frame where broken. Rage poured of me. Was this was one of his drunken spirals? Can't he even act like a responsible father for once? "Father! What the hell is going on_" My tone dropped as I sighted my father struggling to enter the sitting room, clutching on the wall for dear life. He was really in pains and it sent a lot of things running through my mind. "What happened to you?" His eyes were purple black and his lips were swollen with teary red eyes. "What happened to ? Who did this to you?!" "Alpha-" He sputtered, clutching at his sides. "Dont say anything again. We need to get you to the hospital. Save yourself the energy till you get to there." I urged sternly, settling him down on the couch before making my way to my phone. Quickly I phone the emergency care in the hospital and used all my savings and daily work money to ensure his treatment was prompt and was not delayed because of monetary issues. Soon he was rushed to the EU and I waited patiently on the waiting room, my head buried in my palm. Where do I start? I knew deep down in my heart that f*****g Alpha Lorenzo was behind this. Why do men have to be such egotistical bastard ? Lorenzo was very rich. Filthy rich. So rich that he could do away with the money my father owed him, given that he knew my uncle was the cause of all this. Back then in the pack, we could afford a hundred times what he was asking for but now? We were barely living. "Miss Alora ? Your father's awake." The kind young doctor smiled at me. I nodded with a faint thank you and sped into the room. "Alora... " My father croaked weakly from where he lay on the bed. His eyes were dark and withdrawn, like he had given up. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry-" "Who did this to you? Alpha Lorenzo ?" I asked harshly, unable to hide my irritation that he could hide something so important from me. "The Alpha you owe $10 million dollars because of your t**t faced brother?! How could you not tell me!" He shook his head and tears fell from his eyes. A part of me felt bad for pushing him further but I hoped this would make him see he isn't helping either of us with his depression and ability to make the right decisions. "How do you know that?" He finally said, looking everywhere but me. "Are you seriously asking me that now?" I said shakily. His confirmation of the situation made reality sink in, we're in deep shut. Lorenzo looked and had the aura of a killing Alpha, one that could not be messed with. He finally looked at me with a sad and apologetic look. "There's only one solution." "No." I shook my head negatively, stepping back. "No. We are not leaving. Aren't you tired of running away?!" "Then what do you have me do, Alora?!" He yelled, " I am f*****g useless! I don't have more than $10 dollar to my name. Freddie is the only one who can help us out. Lorenzo is dangerous." "I don't want live under the shadow of another man." I refused. "We have to look for a permanent solution, we can't keep running and running dad, I'm tired." "Do you want us dead?!" He sighed. "I know this is hard for you and you have built a life here in Texas, but he have to leave. I am sorry. This is the way it has to be." Crumpling on the seat, I ran a hand through my hair keeping the tears at bay as disappointment flooded my stomach and threatened to consume me. "Did he already met you?" My father asked, quietly. His voice filled with fear. "Tell me the truth." "Yes." I admitted. "Then we have to leave, now!" Running didn't leave us the luxury of taking all ouf properties. Just the essentials we needed , dumping them off into booth of the car as the driver sped towards the nearest airport going to NYC. My father slept throughout the ride and panic immediately set in when a strange number called. "I hope you have my money ready" The deep alluring voice spoke from the other end of the phone, commanding my attention. A spike of fear traveled down my spine as I shifted towards the window of the car to avoid waking my Dad. "How do you expect me or my dad to raise such after you beat him to a pulp?" I queried angrily. "Oh, is this a barter trade Miss Alora?" He said with irritation. "Let me tell you, I have no time for such discussions with you. I am watching you and don't have any bad ideas of running from me. You can't outsmart me.”
