Jonathan sat on the sidelines with utter contempt in his eyes every time mine met his. I thought I should go over and say something but every time I had an opportunity to do so, I chickened out. At the end of the lesson, the teacher sat us down and gave us a pep talk about the pack being the most advanced, strong and patient. How we are joining a pack that has stood against the most fearsome packs and come out on top. The room was a little sweaty but full to the brim of hope and possibility. I think we all left that room feeling like we could take on an entire army. Well, almost everybody felt that way.
