Alex wanted to go after her but her aching pain, which was resonating in his own chest, convinced him that perhaps he should wait and let her calm down first. He took a look at her work more closely. The large piece, that she had begun just that morning, was still mostly a beginning shape, not yet formed. But the smaller piece that she did yesterday, only meant to be a basic form from which to use in creating the bigger piece, seemed to have life to it.
