Kylara was fuming, pacing back and forth in her old cell and cursing out anyone who came close enough to hear her. Finally, early in the morning, a guard came around to each cell to check that they were secure and then left the cells on some unknown mission.
“Malcolm, you b*st*rd!” she screamed across the hallway to where he was suffering in silver chains. “What did you do that gave us away?” She continued cursing at him under her breath.
Malcolm, who was burning from the contact with the silver cuffs, was in no mood to placate his love. “Didn’t you hear them talking? She survived the switch! They’ve known from the beginning… at least about you! They didn’t know about me until later. This is all your fault!”
