I wasn’t sure how Aspen would adjust to the rhythm of our pack life and I was nervous about it. It was such a gradual build up to her agreeing to stay, I wanted to make sure it would stick. I hated that I hadn’t marked her yet. It felt like my heart was beating outside of my chest every time she was out of my sight. Even though the male pack members were extremely respectful towards her, I was constantly stuffing down growls and resisting the urge to throw her over my shoulder and lock her in our bedroom.
