If I had any concerns about the dynamic between Aspen and I shifting once Aspen was changed, my fears were immediately allayed once she opened eyes and stuck her nose in my neck to get my scent. It’s exactly what a wolf would do upon first meeting their mate. A large part of me was relieved that she made it through the change, seemingly with only a few issues. She thrashed around the bed and sweat through multiple hospital gowns during the hours she was unconscious. There were some violent shakes as her fever climbed, but overall, she handled it like a champ.
There was a small part of me that was concerned about Aspen controlling her new wolf. As Alpha, I had helped several newly changed wolves learn control. It was easy because I could Alpha command them until they figured it out. Depen
