Chapter 5 Three days later Hungry for something he didn’t have to prepare, Zach left Thor sleeping in the mountain cave and headed to the community cafeteria. A definite chill was in the air. Combined with a stiff wind and cloudy skies, the temperature felt more like winter rather than late fall. He pulled his heavy jacket around him and stuffed his hands in the pockets. Always before, he’d sought out warm places to stay. The cold, especially the frigid winter variety, drove him away each and every time. Except now.
