Chapter Thirty-two Purely formal witnesses, totally boring to the members of the jury but essential for the prosecution to prove the necessary elements of the charge, took up the remainder of the day. They dealt mostly with corroboration of Detective Sergeant Brooks in relation to execution of the search warrant and the discovery of the bottle in the accused’s garage.
