Chapter Twenty-eight The District Court mention to list Angelo’s trial date arrived soon after his committal had finished. Matthew knew that such a high-profile case alleging police corruption would encourage the prosecution to fast track the proceedings. There was also the pending drug trial where Angelo was still the main prosecution witness. The drug conspiracy trial could not commence until Angelo’s charges had been finalised. The usual melee of newspaper and television reporters surrounded Oscar, Matthew and Angelo as they tried to force their way into the foyer of the court.
