Chapter 1: Death Party

1. The World and Family Background of Frencif

Senianma Frencif's world is an ancient land where the Kingdom of Arenz exists, with magnificent castles and an extremely hierarchical aristocratic system. The Frencif family, one of the most powerful families in the West, is famous for the title "Absolute Power in the West." The Frencif family castle stands proudly on a high hill, with towering towers, grand dining halls, and expansive gardens surrounding it. However, for Senianma, everything in this castle turned into a nightmare after the death of her mother.

Her mother, who had been considered a p********e and despised by society, was expelled from the castle after giving birth to Senianma and later died on the road during her exile due to brutal oppression. Senianma grew up in the coldness and contempt of everyone in the family, especially from her stepmother, Florietta Merriaden. Born into a poor family, her father was an alcoholic and a womanizer, neglecting his family and eventually abandoning Yoon Sena when she was only 8 years old. From then on, she became an orphan, living in fear and despair because she couldn't read, couldn't speak fluently, and no one wanted to help her.

Fortunately, she met her teacher Sena, the only one who loved and cared for her. Sena taught her how to read, how to behave, and how to love others. Together, they opened a small restaurant and lived peaceful days until Sena was diagnosed with cancer and passed away. This loss pushed Yoon Sena into despair, and on the anniversary of her teacher's death, a car accident claimed her life.

When Yoon Sena woke up, she found herself in Senianma's body—a girl she had never known but who carried the same pain as she did.

4. The Trial and the Fateful Meal

The atmosphere inside the Frencif family castle was steeped in the ancient charm of medieval Europe, with towering gray stone walls covered in green moss, and oil lanterns swaying gently in the breeze flowing through the large windows. The pale golden light from the flickering candles on the banquet table only added to the gloominess of the space, sharply contrasting with the tension radiating from the people seated around the long table, covered with a deep red velvet cloth. On this lavish banquet table, two turkeys were placed in the midst of an atmosphere filled with sarcasm and the subtle competition among the family members.

The host of the feast, Senianma's grandfather – the head of the Frencif family, a tall man with silver hair and sharp hawk-like eyes, sat at the head of the table. He was always known for his harsh, cold personality, and the authority that loomed over the entire family. Although he was Senianma's grandfather, there had never been any warmth between them. He saw her merely as a small part of the family, nothing more, nothing less.

Waking up in a new body, Yoon Sena, now Senianma, had to face the harsh life of being a noble yet despised figure. Soon after inhabiting this body, she had to attend a dinner party at the Frencif family, where her grandfather, Lord Frencif, and others in the family would evaluate her cooking skills along with the stepson of the cruel stepmother, Florietta.

On the dining table, two turkeys were served. One turkey, glossy and delicious, was for the stepmother's son. Meanwhile, Senianma's turkey was charred and looked unappetizing. Florietta, with her deep red hair and arrogant gaze, laughed mockingly: "Oh my! Senianna is so cute. Isn't it quite adorable how she tried so hard?"

As everyone around her mocked and ridiculed her, her grandfather tasted the stepson's dish and nodded approvingly: "Not bad." But when he tasted Senianma's turkey, his expression surprised everyone. Initially, he frowned, but then he continued to eat the entire plate.

Whispers started to spread throughout the room: "Impossible, is he flattering his granddaughter? He's usually strict and cold, even to his own family."

Florietta gritted her teeth, unable to believe her eyes. She thought: "What on earth did she do to make him eat like that?"

5. The Conversation and Self-Assertion

In that moment, Senianma's eldest brother, Lucien, who always appeared with the flawless look of a nobleman with golden hair and sharp eyes, spoke up: "Both dishes are wonderful. Should we reward the best dish?"

He smiled slyly and suggested: "How about choosing the best dish by placing a fork beside the one you like the most?"

As a result, the fork of her grandfather was placed next to Senianma's dish. Florietta was trembling with rage, unable to believe what had just happened.

Lucien continued: "Well then, Senianna, tell your grandfather what you want."

The entire room fell silent, and Yoon Sena, in Senianma's body, froze in thought. She thought about her life before, the hardships she had gone through, and how she could survive in this family. She knew that Senianma had once thought that death was the best way to escape this contempt, but Yoon Sena didn’t think so. She had endured too much hardship to easily give up.

She looked directly at her grandfather and said with determination: "Grandfather, please help me. I... and everyone here... Senianma might think that death is the best way, but I do not."

6. Chapter Ending

Senianma's life, or rather Yoon Sena’s life, had officially entered a new phase. With determination and strength, she would no longer let herself be exploited or trampled on.

She had survived the challenges of her past life, and now she would face the challenges of this new world with the courage and wisdom she had gained.
