Liam felt his world crumbling around him, piece by piece.

He slumped to the ground, completely drained.

A moment later, running on pure instinct, he made a call. "Dig into it. Find out what's really going on between Serena and Nathan. I want answers in an hour. Do it now!"
An hour later.
He was back at the office.
His assistant walked in. "Mr. Bennett... we found out... Mrs. Bennett and Mr. Cole... they grew up together. Childhood sweethearts. They went to the same school from middle school all the way through high school.
"Apparently... their families had already arranged a marriage for them. It was a done deal. But then... Mrs. Bennett called it off. And then... she ended up with you."
