Author's pov, "Wake up 'Aashi', today is your first day at the office and you want to be late on the very first day?" Before Sai would say anything else, Ashita hurriedly got up from bed without saying anything. “Dude…how can I forget, I was just tired because of what happened in the past week and also from travelling.” She said, walking toward the wardrobe lazily and taking her clothes out of the wardrobe. "Yes, I wanted to ask you about that but your mood seems to be not good, so I dropped the idea." Sai said, and she sighed. "Yes, lots of things have happened in my house, but not now will we catch up in the evening," She told her and she said. "Okay." Then she went to the bathroom and did her morning routines in a hurry. She got ready to go to my office and booked a cab and waited for it. Aashita Verma is the most famous industrial Mr. Mahendra Verma's younger daughter. She is beautiful and innocent as well stubborn also. She is just 23 years old and has completed her architecture. Her father wanted her to do a business management course and join the business with them, like her brothers, but she wanted to be an architect, so she pursued her architecture degree. "Dia Firms" is one of the most famous architecture firms. She wanted to join this firm because this firm does their work like crazy. It means if they are on any kind of project, they don't compromise with any kind of work and make mistakes. 'There also working my idle Mr. Samar Dixit. He is very famous. He is a dedicated and hard-working person. I wanted to work under him, but my brother Reyansh spoiled my mood because he didn't want me to work for this firm. I mean, what's the problem? Who doesn't want to work in this firm? An insane person, but sane.' She thought. Past week..., "I said, you are not going to work in that firm, Aashi." He just gritted his teeth. That's her brother Reyansh Verma. He is her elder brother and favorite also, but today he is irritating her lots. "What's the problem with that firm?" She also said with a raised voice. "Because, I am telling you. Not to do." He just said simply. Oh...My goodness, by the way, he loves his sister a lot. He fulfills her every demand. Like his father, but today God knows what happened to him. "What happened to you, Bro?" She asked innocently. "Nothing." "Aashi...,! Reyansh...! Why are you both quarreling with each other?" Dadi asked while she entered the living room. "Nothing, Dadi." He refused to tell her the reason. "This is my dream and you can't destroy it. Dadi say something to put brain in my brother. He is denying me to not work in Dia's firm. " She complained, and sat down on the couch. She looked at him. "First of all this is shocking for me, Reyansh. I can't believe you are denying her. What happened to you, my beta (Child)?" Their Dadi (grandma) asked. They both looked at her. "She can work at any firm in India. But not that firm." Now he said stubbornly. "But bro, you have to give the reason behind denying for work there." She questioned him while folding her hands in her chest. "Without giving her a reason, why are you denying it, Reyansh?" Dadi also questioned him. "Aashi, if I am saying not in that particular firm, that means 'no' and Dadi, we will talk about it later." He said, staring at her. "That's not the reason, bro., because you said not to work in that firm. It doesn't mean I am not going to work in that firm." Now she, also stubbornly, started to argue with him. "Aashi..." He shouted at her, which startled her. Because of his shouting, there was silence. They were both looking at each other but not utter a single word. "Reyansh don't shout like that at her." His Dadi warned him. "Sorry, Dadi. I didn't mean to shout at her like that, but I didn't want her to join that firm." he said sadly. "Aashi..., We did everything. What you asked from us. I am asking this one thing from you. Can't it do for me? He asked, making her guilty, and her head fell down. After that, she couldn't control her tears and she ran towards her room and banged the room door, so they could find out that she was angry. She fell down in bed. They were continuously calling her but she didn't give them heed. She cried the whole day. And when she fell asleep, she didn't know. "Reyansh your dad is not going to be happy about it." Dadi said. "I know Dadi but..." He tried to search for a word to make her understand. "Reyensh, we all know that you love your sister more than anything, but beta, it's her dream. Whenever she needs any kind of thing, your father, Viraj and you make sure that she gets it before she asks for it. She never demands anything, but when she does it, only for her course. Yes, she is stubborn. Once she makes up her mind, she doesn't turn back." Dadi said while sighing. "Dadi...I..." He tried to give her the reason but he stopped himself from doing that. "Its okay beta,, if you don't want to tell. I hope what you are doing you know." she said, and went to her room. "How can I tell you that, Dadi? That firm is his, who killed my love. Because of him, I lost my love." He thought in his mind. In the evening, when Mr. Mahendra Verma arrived home. He got to know about what happened between both brother and sister. So he went directly to Aashi's room and knocked. She was in a deep slambler. When, suddenly, her sleep broke from the sound coming from outside of the room. "Aashi...My dear...Open the door." Her Dad was calling her to open the door. She hurriedly got up from her bed. "Aashi...What are you doing? Why are you not opening the door?" He was continuously bombarded with questions and also banged the door. As soon as she opened the door, he sighed in relief. "Thank God, you opened the door otherwise we are going to break it." Her brother said, making fun of her. She stared at him, making him shut up, and turned to her father, who was looking at her in a concerned way. "Are you okay dear? He asked her and she nodded yes. He pulled her to hug him and she also hugged him. After she was born, his wife left them because she already had a brain tumor. After Aashita was born she survived for only 7 months, fate did not allow her to live a long life, so that she could see how her daughter was growing up. She loved all their children, equally. She was sad because she was going to die soon and her daughter was still too young to lose her mother. Mr. Verma's condition worsened after his wife passed away, but he handled himself very hardly taking care of their children. He raised all his children very lovingly. Specially with Aashi, being a child without a mother, everyone brought her up with love. That's why maybe she is more stubborn. "Aashi, what did your brother say? Don't bother about it, okay. We will discuss it." He was saying to her to comfort and its work. After sometime, he pulled back and told her to get fresh and meet me in his office and she nodded and went inside my room to freshen up. When she was going to meet Dad at his office, her Dad was shouting at her brother for fighting with her. He gave the reason why he fought with her, but she couldn't hear what that was and she knocked on the door. So that they would know she was outside the office, and Mr. Verma gave her permission to go inside and she entered inside. As soon as she entered the office, "Aashi, you can work where you want to work, no one is going to stop you. I am giving you permission." As soon as she entered he said, staring at his son. Of course, he was not happy with what dad declared. He nodded his head disappointingly and went from there banging on the door, which was obvious he was angry. Whatever she demands, her brother always supports her and never says no to anything, but this time she didn't know what happened to him when she said "I am going to work with 'Dia's firm'." As soon as he heard the name, he just said no to her, and warned her not to work in that firm. She asked him the reason behind denying it but he never said and fought with her. She was lost in her own world when her dad called. "Aashi, are you OK dear?" "Yes dad, I am okay, but what happened to him? Why is he behaving strangely after hearing the firm's name?" "Oh...Dear, forget about his behavior. He was just concerned about your safety. You are going to stay far from us. That's why he is behaving like that." he told her, and it's obvious, She never stayed away from home because they never allowed her, even when she was pursuing her architecture degree. She completed her degree in her hometown. "And you don't cry dear. Neither I like it nor your mother will like it." She nodded. "Thanks Dad." She thanked him while hugging. She was very happy that her dad gave her permission to do her job. After that, she packed her things and finally moved in with college friend Sai. To be continued...
