Chapter Twelve – Humble

Jess had a longstanding invitation to her actor friend Seth Mackenzie’s party, and it was way too late to duck out, so when she found herself at his place in the Hollywood Hills, she told herself it was a half-hour thing, and then she’d escape.
Teddy was also out this evening, supporting a fellow actor friend at a premiere, and so she was flying solo at the party. Luckily she saw quite a few friends there, and her half-hour thing ended up being more like the entire evening.
