A few minutes later, Sofia received a message from her subordinate.
She stared at the woman in the photo, her eyes gradually becoming vicious.
Sofia: Who is this woman?
The subordinate: Luna Klein, a popular star.
Sofia tightened the grip on the phone and replied.
Sofia: Luna Klein? Send me her information.
The subordinate: Yes. Ms. York!
Sofia put down the phone, put on a smile, and walked towards Asher.
Noticing her approach, Roy finished his report to Asher as soon as possible and stepped aside.
Sofia deliberately stood beside Asher and smiled at him. "Asher, come to my house for dinner tomorrow. My Mom asked me to take you home after she knew we were together."
Asher responded indifferently, "Okay."
Sofia's smile grew wider when she heard his agreement. "Great. I'll ask the chef to cook a few more dishes you like."
Asher raised his eyebrows but didn't continue the conversation.
After staying at the party for nearly half an hour, he left early.
Sofia wanted to go with him but was stopped by Clyde.
"Ms. York, why are you leaving so early? The party is about you. Why don't you stay a little longer?" He smiled and stared at her.
Sofia frowned impatiently. Just as she was about to catch up with Asher, Clyde grabbed her wrist.
"Ms. York, may I have the pleasure of this dance?"
Everyone around noticed their argument and looked over.
No matter how much Sofia disliked Clyde, she had to agree under such circumstances. Otherwise, it would have a bad impact on the company.
"Okay," she agreed reluctantly.
Clyde's smile deepened. "It's really an honor, Ms. York."

After Eleanor returned home, she quickly took off her clothes and went for a shower.
When the hot water hit her neck, with a blank expression, she rubbed the tender area until her skin flushed red, revealing the faint trace of blood from the bite.
She stared at herself in the mirror for a while. Finally regaining her senses, she put on her pajamas, went to the living room to find the medical kit, and simply treated the wound.
Under the physical and psychological pressure in the past two days, Eleanor unsurprisingly had a fever the next day.
Groggy and lightheaded, she struggled to get up and took the phone from the bedside table, calling in sick to the HR Department and later informing Venessa of her condition.
After receiving the reply, she slept for a while. When she woke up again, she got changed and took a taxi to the hospital.
There, she queued up to pay the fee, collected the required injection fluids, and then found a corner to get an IV.
Her head was dizzy, but she couldn't afford to sleep, fearing that the blood would find its way to the tubing once the drip finished.
At this time, Eleanor missed her Mom especially, yearning for the latter's comforting presence.
Whenever she was sick in the past, her Mom would always stay by her side.
And this was the first time Eleanor had fallen ill after she left.
Eleanor blinked her sore eyes, her throat parched. She wanted to get some water from her bag but accidentally dropped the things on the floor.
Just as she was about to get up to pick them up, a man appeared to lend a hand.
He had short hair and was good-looking, wearing a simple white T-shirt and black pants.
"Louis, you're here." Eleanor smiled.
The man was Eleanor's friend, Louis Reed. He helped Eleanor pick up the things and put them back into her bag. Then, she unscrewed the cap of the water bottle and handed it to him.
Louis smiled. "It's only been two days since we last met. How did you end up like this?"
