I opened my eyes to the glimpse of a doctor and my mum, I couldn't make sense of whatever it was they were discussing.
“ Ah thank goodness you are up” mum exclaimed, she caught me steering.
“ you silly girl, I told you not to go to the concert,” she scolded as she sat next to me.
“ I am sorry mun” I pouted.
At that point I wished I had not been in my parents house when I fell sick. I did not like the idea of them having to worry about me so much. I was their only child and so when it comes to matters concerning me, worry was their natural companion. Especially my mum.
“What did the doctor say?” I asked, looking intently at Mother.
“Don't bother about that Sonya” she said, averting her gaze.
“ We should focus on getting you better,” she added, leaving the room.
