YOU CANT HAVE ME
I lowered my head and walked past Callum, not wanting to engage in any type of conversation whatsoever. But he had other plans, he pulled me back immediately I passed him, pushing me into the lady's room and swiftly closing the door behind us.
“What are you doing?” I yelled, I was livid.
“Are you just going to pretend you didn't see me?” he questioned, folding his arms before him as he continued.
“After last ni…..”
“ stop!” I yelled before he could complete his statement.
“Just stop Callum!; Whatever happened was a mistake that could have been avoided if you didn't take advantage of me”my fists clenched in annoyance.
“I would never do that,” he defended, leaning in on me.
“I just wanted to help you to your room; you were drunk and it just happened”he added, gazing at me.
“Callum things like that don't just happen” I said, not buying any of the words he was saying.
“Listen Sonya,” he said, cutting my words short.
“This is fate bringing us together; I didn't mean for what happened to happen and I am certain you didn't you, but it just did” I became livid hearing him speak.
How could he stand there and talk about fate?
“Enough!” I yelled.
“Fate? The only thing fate ordained here is our divorce Callum a I will like for it to stay that way!” I said through gritted teeth, trying my best to control the new wave of anger I felt from within.
“Callum, your wife is out there, go to her; we can move past this whole thing” I continued, lowering my voice now as I tried to be reasonable.
“ I don't want to move on from it” he blurted out, his gaze piercing into mine.
I didn't recognize the man before me for a brief moment, first he apologized to me and now he wants us to keep in touch.
“Sonya, my life has been miserable without you!” he added, further annoying me with his words.
“I will divorce Amanda” he blurted out, I paused for a moment, looking into his eyes as everything seemed to pause around me….
“So now you want to divorce her to marry me” I scoffed.
“ Callum, I see right through you!” I stated, looking at him in disdain.
“You know I was starting to think you had changed,” I continued.
“ That maybe Callum Peters now had a little bit of respect for women, but I was utterly wrong” I shook my head, glaring scornfully at him.
How could he stand there and tell me he wanted to divorce his wife? The exact words he said had my insides twist in disgust. I hated myself more for sleeping with him.
He was just waiting to repeat what he did to me and this time Amanda was his victim.
“Just stay as far away from me as possible;” I said through gritted teeth.
“Stop following me, we stayed a year without contact and I'd like for it to stay that way” I said sternly as I left to join Stacy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Arghhh” I yelled at the top of my voice, pushing my way through the crowd as I headed for the car. I could not believe I just ruined whatever chance I had with Sonya.
I was certain she now sees me as a monster who hates women. I could see the hatred in her expression as she spoke to me. It was clear she didn't want anything to do with me.
“Why did you leave in such a haste” Amanda said from behind, she had followed me out of the event,her voice had a bit of mockery in them that I didn't seem to understand but I shrugged it off.
“ I just got tired,” I said, getting into the car. The deafening silence was a total contrast of how I felt inside of me.
The woman I loved but was too stupid to realize it now hated me.
Flashes of our time the previous nights were still lingering in my head. I had thought that it would be a start for a good relationship moving forward but I was wrong.
“I saw Someone that looked like Sonya at the event” Amanda broke the silence, her tone still carrying a hint of mockery.
I immediately averted my gaze towards her
“Was she at the event?”she asked, feigning concern.
I couldn't help but wonder if she had seen Sonya and l, but I shrugged the thoughts off. She had been with a few of her friends when I got out, there was no way she could have seen us.
“She wasn't there,” I said coldly. Looking out the window till we got home.
Amanda's pov
“Mrs Peters, they are together now,” the investigator I hired said to me over the phone.
I knew something was up when Callum left my side at the event, I knew he was going after that b***h.
I had seen Stacy when she walked in and so I got a hint that Sonya was also present.
“Your husband is planning on divorcing you” those words had my head spinning.
There was no way I was letting Callum go. Everything that I had worked so hard for cannot fail now.
I had to get rid of Sonya for good this time.
I watched Callum fall asleep before I reached for my phone, headed into the bathroom to make a phone call.
If Callum thinks he is smart, I'll play the game along With him.
My phone vibrated in my hands, as I waited for the receiver to pick up.
“Our plans are starting to fail,” I blurted out immediately when the call was answered.
“We have to hasten our plans now; do everything to get rid of that bitch.” I muttered into the phone, being careful not to wake Callum.
“I can no longer trust my men to do it, they have failed once;I leave it to you” I concluded by hanging up the call.
“I’ll play your game Callum, lets see who wins” I said to myself, a sly smirk on my face.
I reached for the door and jolted when I saw a half asleep Callum in front of the door, he spoke before I could utter a word.
“Who was that……….?
