Elizabeth knew better than to take Jéan seriously, but her sense of reasoning was out the window since she realized she had a thing for her boss. When they got back to New York, she realized she wasn't going to stay with Jéan anymore and she felt bummed. She got so comfortable staying around Jéan that leaving felt like she was removing something huge from her life. When Jéan dropped her off at her house with a simple "see you at the office tomorrow", she was confused at first because she totally forgot Jéan had already informed her that her house was safe to move back to.
