“That was stupid. Why did we do the ball first?” I heard Lara say as I struggled to open my eyes. I felt this cold surface beneath me, and I knew I was on the ground.
“Yeah that probably wasn’t the best idea. But on the bright side, at least she howled,” Dom said. On that word, I opened my eyes. My body felt heavy; however, I was still able to will myself to sit up.
“You ok?” Lara asked. I felt her hand on my back. She was squatting down next to me looking over at me concerned, while Dom and Marco stood around me. Dom looked concerned, while Marco looked proud.
“I’m ok, but what are you smiling for?” I asked, Marco.
“You howled. It wasn’t a shift, but that fear caused you to howl, this means we are on the right track,” Marco assured me.
