“Neffi, if you can hear me, I want to say I’m sorry for leaving you alone. I should have taken you with me, or at least stayed. I can’t lose you, please come back to me,” I heard a voice that sounded like Liam say, shaking me out of what began as a dream but ended as a nightmare. “Neffi,” Liam said, startled but happy. I slowly opened my eyes and looked at him. He was sitting beside me, holding my hand and looking into my eyes with so much love, it made the pain I was now feeling in my body feel as if it was nothing. “Liam,” I said, as I blinked a couple of times before everything became clear. I was in what looked like a hospital, with about two doctors and nurses running around the room, like crazy. There were at least eight other beds, but mine seemed to be the only one occupied at th
