The moment Neffi left, I broke free of Sam, hating myself for what I had done to her. I only wanted to make her jealous, and regret her decision, but with the way things were going, I was almost sure I had lost her forever, which neither me nor my wolf could accept.
“Can you believe her?” Sam asked, trying to touch my shoulder again, for which I pushed her off. “Liam,” she said, hurt, but I didn’t care. Hurting her was not a big deal to me, but hurting Neffi was.
“Are you happy now?” Dom asked, sounding just as upset as Neffi and my wolf were.
“No, I should,” I started to say.
“Yeah, go she walked into the woods,” Dom said.
