Kade stabbed and then cut through the one at his chest as it came, but the others didn’t stop. Teeth caught his forearm, and pain flared, bright and sharp. Another set of jaws clamped down on his thigh, dragging him down.
The arena tilted as he went down to one knee.
The crowd screamed.
Kade’s heart pounded, surging in his ears as his focus narrowed, and the moon blade hummed. He drove it down into the creature on his thigh, twisting until it released with a yelp. He ripped his arm free from the other’s bite with a savage jerk, then slammed the pommel down into its skull. Another, airborne, crashed into him. Claws scraped his armor, teeth snapping inches from his face. Kade felt Ash’s fury cresting to a peak.
“All right,” he snarled at his wolf. “Fine.”
He shifted. It tore through
