Selene’s POV
“I said I’m fine,” I muttered, but Dark was already crouched before me, checking my leg ignoring me.
His fingers were gentle, inspecting the bruised area with intense focus. It was just a small scratch I got when the unknown person from Night Bane Order pushed me.
I studied him quietly, my arms folded, while he worked like I wasn’t even there.
“You act like I’m about to die,” I murmured.
“You wouldn’t stop bleeding a few minutes ago,” he replied coolly. “Excuse me if I don’t trust your version of fine.”
