Selene's POV
When I entered, Dark was sitting up. His chest bare, bandaged slightly on the shoulder from something he had done to himself during the breakdown.
He looked at me. “Everyone out.”
The guards bowed and left without question.
Lady Havana remained sitting.
Dark’s eyes slowly moved to her. “That includes you.”
She looked stunned. “Caius... I am your mother.”
He didn’t blink. “Wait outside.”
Her mouth parted like she wanted to argue, but one glance at him made her swallow it.
She walked toward the door slowly, glancing back at me once before stepping out.
The moment she closed the door, I turned slightly, unsure what to expect.
Then suddenly, his hand grabbed my wrist.
I gasped as he pulled me forward and I stumbled, falling right on top of him.
