Dark pushed open the door with a tray of food in his hand. The windows were wide open. His face fell.
He rushed to check them.
Selene was no longer in the room.
His eyes caught sight of the letter lying on the bed. After reading it, his hands clenched. He crushed the note and threw it to the floor, storming out without another word.
