Selene’s POV
When I woke up the next morning, I was back in my hotel room.
My eyes snapped open. I sat up quickly and ran to the door, yanking it open. The hallway was quiet.
How the hell am I back in my room?
The last thing I remembered was the cave… the beast… It said my name.
My head spun as I walked over to Chris’s room and knocked. The door opened, and Aria stepped out.
She stared at me, her eyes unreadable, before walking past me without a word.
Chris appeared next.
He looked surprised to see me. “Come in,” he said quickly, then rushed after Aria.
I stepped into his room and sat on the couch. The entire space reeked of Aria. It was suffocating.
I walked to the windows and opened them wider, letting the fresh air in. Then I sprayed a bit of my own perfume. It felt better.
