Selene's POV
Chris took me to a cafe after leaving Director Caius. We ordered two bottles of cold drink and a plate of food. I insisted on taking chips because I wasn't hungry.
Chris ate in silence, his eyes focused on me.
“Are you going to say something or just keep staring?” I muttered, dipping a chip into my mouth.
Chris wiped his mouth with a handkerchief, then folded his arms on the table.
“Are you alright?” he asked, and I nodded.
But instead of relaxing, he stood halfway from his seat and touched my forehead.
I was caught off guard. My ears instantly turned red as he checked my body.
“I’m fine, Chris,” I said quickly.
