Another Normal Morning

‘*sigh* another normal boring day.’

Letitia murmured.

“Alright~ Listen everybody.”

‘Huh? class president?’

“The teacher cannot attend school today. I do not know what is the reason but I will ask later the council. For the meantime, let's just self study and behave. That's all.”

Their class president walked out of their classroom then the quiet atmosphere turned into a noisy market.

“Yesss! Guys! guys! did you know the other–”

‘Hmm, there it is again. That bragging guy needs to calm down and quit spouting nonsense. By the way, since the president walked out I cannot probably find him away. He was so annoying the other day.’

“No way!” - A girl shouted.

“Eh what is it? what is it??” - the bragging guy asked.

‘What's their problem.. Huh? why are they getting close to me?’ - Letitia blinked her eyes several times and raised a brow. Many of her classmates surrounded her seat with their eyes glittering.

“What do y'all want?” - She asked.

“Gallio. Is this true?” - A girl asked Leticia.

“Excuse me?” - She asked back.

“A very popular guy lives somewhere in your neighborhood! He just recently debuted solo and yet he already received several awards!” - Another girl said as she squealed.

‘I don't know what they're talking about.’ Leticia covered her ears and waved her hands to keep distance from them.

“Nope. I do not know anything about a guy or something from my neighborho–.”

“Heh. What do you all expect? Gallio doesn't even go outside from her house not even from her room.” - A guy sighed as he clapped calmly.

“Scatter, scatter. Why are you all surrounding around Leticia?” - The class president asked.

“President~” - The bragging guy came to his side and patted his shoulders.

“Didn't you hear? A very popular person lives near her neighbourhood! That just happens rarely in our town!” - The bragging guy with his usual shrill tone.

“Krill, Leticia already said she doesn't know anything about the guy, he probably didn't live that near to their house. So go back to your seats because the next teacher will be here soon.” - The class president removed Krill's hands from his shoulders as he sighed.

‘What the heck. He just exposed something.’ - Leticia frowned and scratched her head.

“What a bummer~” - Everyone of her classmates came back to their seats, along with the class president.

*Time passed by and the bell rang.*

4:00pm

“Cleaners! No one don't try to escape today if you don't want any punishment.”

“Aww!”

Leticia's POV

Ugh, I'm so tired and thirsty. I cannot wait to go home!

“What? Is it gonna rain today?” - I looked up to the darkened sky as it's small raindrops started to pour one by one.

‘I should've left earlier and escaped. I'm gonna get soaked. I need to hurry up.’

I went to our 2nd floor faculty and gladly I stumbled him there. I breathed deeply before asking if I can borrow any extra umbrella. He smiled at me before he looked for the umbrella.

“Where did they actually put the umbrellas? I'm pretty sure it's here..” - After he opened one of the faculty's cabinets, he finally saw the well-kept umbrellas. The faculty only has 3 cabinets that faced the door. Which in between are the chairs and a large marble table for meetings.

“Why are you still here at school? Zaid, The class president.” - I looked at my watched in my wrist and looked back to him.

“Well, been busy with studying. The competition is still far but I wanted to make sure. Here, it's clean than expected.” - He handed the umbrella to Leticia after he inspected the umbrella.

“I understand. You are still a very hardworking individual. A very.functional.person. haha” - Leticia chuckled.

“What about you? Aren't you smarter than me?” - He leaned his side on the door way and crossed his arms.

‘Since there are no one besides us talking, he is this comfortable talking to me huh.’ Leticia shook her head and looked away from Zaid.

“Again with that, Zaid. You already know I hate it when someone ask me that.” - I looked again to Zaid. ‘Is he corcerned? That might just be my imagination.’ He looked really pity for a second there.

“Alright. Alright. You should go now. The rain's about to pour.” - Zaid sighed. He moved near in front of me barely an inch apart.

“Y-yeah. I should. Thank you for the umbr– U...umm..?” - Leticia looked down the ground with her widened eyes.

Zaid gently patted my head. I cannot see his face but why is he freaking patting me?

“Oh, sorry. You just looked like my dog.” - Zaid pulled back his hand.

‘What?! Do I look like a dog??’

“Bye.” - Leticia walked away as Zaid only looked at her until she reached the stairs then he went back inside the faculty.

‘That was embarrassing! There still a few people there! Why does he kept teasing me? Is he really concerned of me? Maybe not. He just enjoy teasing people. He might've sound kind for other people because of his soft and calm handsome face.’

I checked again the sky and it is already very dark due to the clouds.

‘I'm not gonna like this rain. *sighs*’

I opened the borrowed umbrella and gently opened it. ‘Ah. I forgot. My earphones..’

Leticia inserted her earphone in her ears and started to play a song as she covered her head with the umbrella and began to walk home.

“Soo~ I'm not one with the people~?” - Leticia sang and danced to her music while holding her umbrella walking alone the road.

“Huh?” - Leticia stopped to looked back and around her. Her heartbeat beat faster after she heard a weird sound that seems to be from a thing that cracked.

“What the heck...” - She shaked her head and continued to walk home.

*Splash*

“Who's there?” - She walked faster as she thought she was followed by someone.

‘I'm already getting close to the house. I'm glad it's near the school. I need to walk faster. Maybe it's just also someone going home.’

*splash* *splash* *splash*

Moments later, Letitia got suspicious as the stranger still followed her.

She turned off her music and her phone, she began to ran as fast as she can. The rain poured down more heavily.

‘As I thought... I can't see clearly’ - Leticia turned around the corner and quickly hid behind the large garbage bins. She folded her umbrella before she hid as she accepted herself that she has to be wet and will be soaked in the rain in order to be safe and know who followed her.

*splash* *splash* *splash*

The splashing sound coming from an unknown stranger running and looking around. It passed by Letitia where she hid. However she can only see a silhouette figure because the rain got heavier.

*splash* *splash* *splash*

The splashing sound slowly went away.

‘I don't hear anything anymore, It's been an hour already. Maybe that guy's already gone.’ - Letitia slowly got out behind the garbage bins.

‘My bag...’ - She groaned then folded back the umbrella to keep off the raindrops falling from her bag that is already soaked wet, she hurriedly continued to walk home. The rain slowly dispersed after she reached a black painted metal gate of her house.

She opened the gate as it creaked then closed it. She knocked on their door and a woman showed up with a widened eyes.

“Oh my! Letitia! Your soaking wet! Go get a bath!” - Her mother helped her with her wet bag get off her. Letitia hurried up to the bathroom and closed the bathroom door behind her.

“This kid.. why's she so wet when she has an umbrella.” - Her mother looked at her bag with a confused face.

Wednesday

*Bell rang*

“Ugh.” - Letitia slumped on her chair.

‘I missed class for two days after that strange day. I pretended to be sick. I couldn't tell anyone about what happened that day. Why would I even bother? No one's gonna believe me anyway.’

“Settle down. The school council will be here for few minutes. I hope you all will behave and please be respectful.” - Mr. Luis, their homeroom teacher said.

“Omg! The council!” - A girl exclaimed excitedly as she poured herself in foundation and lipgloss.

‘If we were allowed to have lipstick then every girls in this school will be full of strawberry lip girls.’ - Letitia noticed not just one classmate fixing herself. She looked around the classroom with amazement in her face as their classmates are spraying perfumes to themselves. The other girls used colognes. There are a few who didn't also bothered.

“Why are they like that?” - Letitia murmured herself.

“They're here! They're here!” - Krill shouted as he came back to his seat. He always seem love standing by the classroom's doorway.

‘No wonder he grasp too much gossips.’

Suddenly a bunch of people came inside the classroom then almost every Letitia's classmates started to clap.

‘They're like a bunch of seals.’ - Letitia grinned from her joke.

“Good morning, we are the school's council. We are asking for a little bit of your time to atleast answer this survey that will be given to you.” - A girl with a very thick glasses said.

‘She's actually very pretty, right? In fact, These five people are extremely good looking.’ - Letitia observed them one by one as she stumbled at someone she thinks weird. There are two girls and three boys members in their council.

“Here are the survey papers, please answer it honestly.” - The glasses girl added.

The group started distributing the papers to the students. Meanwhile, Letitia didn't received hers and raised her hand.

‘Come on, why da heck I didn't received the paper? I don't want to attract attention arrgh.’

“Excuse me. Ididn'treceiveanything.” - Letitia screamed inside her head and questioned herself.

“Sorry, come again?” - The glasses girl asked Letitia.

Letitia flinched and once again screamed inside her head.

“Here.” - A boy gave her the paper as Letitia grabbed the paper then quickly thanked him without looking at his face.

“You're welcome.” - Letitia heard the soft spoken voice as the boy strutted back to his group.

“That was odd.” - A deep voice of someone from their group suddenly mutter.

A murmur filled the classroom. Letitia didn't mind what's going on around her.
