Adam Lambert blasted in all the taverns, bars and open-air speakers wherever there was a screen as the General made his way to another large room. This time the room had large rocks scattered all over and this made him think that he had to be on guard as there may be Monsters or Demons lurking behind them.
The lights were dim and the next red light was still small but Sir Damon still had an uneasy feeling. He knew that sometimes, the Dungeon tricks you and bends the rules. And although he knew that he should have some kind of a warning, his attackers could spring our and go for the kill as soon as they are allowed given the rules of the quest.
The General of the Dungeon sensed that the matches were just going to get worse the closer he got to the end. It had been hours since he set out on this journey but Anne would have warned him if he was not making good time. So he pushed on. There was silence as Goddess Luna decided to keep things quiet for a bit. Setting the mood or how serious things were getting. She sat patiently on her perch knowing that things were about to get intense.
The Dungeon wasted no time in presenting its next task as Sir Damon dashed through the rocky obstacle course. The red light at the end of the room was the size of his fist and that was far from good. He slid on the ground bringing himself to a screeching halt and drew both of his swords. Looking around the room he saw and heard nothing but his gut told him that he was about to get attacked.
The adventurers and viewers shook awake their friends who were drunk and had fallen asleep waiting for him to get to the next task. Once they saw that he was standing with his swords drawn and one of the cameras showed the size of the Red Light at the end of the room, not one person was asleep. They ran to get closer to the screens and took sips of their drinks to refresh.
It was only a moment later that a deep growl ripped through the Dungeon and the General took a defensive stance. Behind him, to his left, to his right and from behind the rocks ahead of him, a Mini Boss emerged. Each of them stood 3 meters tall and growled, glaring at their prey. They were Silverback Gorillas. Enormous Gorillas that roared as they approached from all angles.
“Now it’s time,” said the Goddess. The engineers perked up. “Awake and Alive by Skillet, quickly,” she snapped as the engineers rushed to load the song and it began to play all over sending the crowd into a frenzy and Sir Damon swung his swords loosening up for what was to come. The one behind him seemed to be advancing faster than the rest and he decided to make it too obvious. He immediately lunged to his left and dug his sword into the chest of the first beast. This dropped the Monster’s HP dramatically but infuriated the rest of them. They rushed at once and he used his smaller size to his advantage. Slicing in all directions and rolling out of the way, Sir Damon swung with such force and violence that the monster’s HP gauges were dropping faster than anyone had ever seen them During this battle he decided to end the quest as fast possible knowing that there was no way he would be able to do what Anne had in store for him if he took things easy and played it safe. While he dived out of the way and took their shots, he started to formulate the plan on what he would do once this was over.
The viewers were glued to the screens cheering on the General of the Dungeon as he ripped through four Silverback Gorillas and they exploded when out of nowhere, one of them disintegrated as Sir Damon sliced into his midsection. Goddess Luna tried to hide her approval as he swung his blades cutting through the Silverbacks like a man possessed. He knew that not only was the Goddess at the end of this journey but he was the only one in this part of the Dungeon meaning exactly what Anne knew that he wanted. He could let rip without concerning himself with holding back his strength, speed and ferocity. Another Silverback disintegrated and the cheers came again. There was a premature moment of celebration as the third Silverback disappeared and the pixels flew through the air. Using the fourth one’s distraction watching his friends getting torn apart to launch another flurry of attacks but it evaded some and tried to get behind one of the boulders. Sir Damon took this moment to catch his breath and took a knee. “Heart of War by Message from Sylvia, now,” snapped Goddess Luna. The engineer on the left was already prepared and simply loaded all the music that they had to have ready. The song began and to his horror and to the dismay of all watching, howls began to rip through the Dungeon again and from all the corners of the Dungeon, Werewolves. They too stood over three meters tall and they eyes glowed a fiery red. There were five of them in total.
Diving to get some space and hiding behind a boulder, the General hurriedly got out a vial to replenish his HP. He had decimated the onslaught of the Silverbacks but not without sustaining damage. Once he had done so he took another deep breath and got up. The werewolves howled again and spread out, snarling at him with the last Silverback still lurking around. He knew that the Gorilla would have to go first since it was approaching death and the most erratic and dangerous. So he went for him using his speed. Deciding to slice and pick his shots, Sir Damon was able to get behind the beast and swing his blade right through its torso. The Beast disappeared only to be replaced by a charging Werewolf and he lunged a strike into its abdomen and a right across its legs. The Monster was able to slice at him and he tried to avoid it. Mentally counting what he had on him, Sir Damon knew that he could not waste his HP on each of these beasts. And in doing so he took a moment to catch his breath so that he could do to the Werewolves what he did to the Silverbacks. Unleash hell...
Emerging from behind another boulder, he swung violently at one of the Werewolves and completely destroyed it sending shock waves of euphoria through the taverns and streets. He rested again behind another boulder, taking note of where they were as they searched for him. He remained in the shadows until one of them seemed to separate from the others. He leapt into the air and sliced through the air from the side of one the wandering Werewolves sending its HP to 0 as he sliced at its head, severing its head from its body. Wasting no time he shot through the legs of the closest one holding both swords up and sliced between the beasts legs. It swiped at him wildly and caught him as he got up. Side stepping the swings he held up his swords and swung them outwards as the Werewolf tried to paw at him, cutting into its arms. This continued for a few more moments, until the last on the 5 Werewolves was at its final chunk of HP. It howled to the heavens and Sir Damon launched on of his swords right at its chest sending his blade right through it and finishing off the last of its HP.
He dropped to the ground and fumbled for a vial to replenish his HP which now glowed a bright green showing 100%. But his physical body was starting to feel the effects of nonstop battle and his psyche was taking its toll. He had now defeated One Floor Boss and 12 Mini Bosses and just as he calculated what he had done and started to catch his breath, another growl echoed off the walls. And behind the far boulder emerged a Floor Boss, The Chimera, a Lion with the head of a Goat on its back, and its tail, was a massive venomous snake.
