Chapter Seventeen

[ Monica ]

" Babe . " Ray said as she began to drive us home .

" What . "

" Look I'm sorry for the way I acted . " He said as he rubbed my thigh .

I moved his hand off of my thigh .

" Whatever . "

" What the hell is your problem ? " He snapped .

" My problem is you ! Just leave me the f**k alone . "

I yelled as I slammed the car door shut . I walked into the house and went upstairs to the bedroom . I took a quick shower then laid down .

" Monica . " Ray said as he walked over to me .

" What ? "

" I'm sorry baby . " Ray said as kisses my stomach .

I smiled a little as he kissed my belly .

" Move Ray ! "

I laughed as I pushed his head away . I sat up and he laid next to me . I felt my phone vibrate .

Trevor ' Wanna go out for lunch , I wanna talk some things over . '

Me ' Sure . '

Trevor ' Alright I'll pick you up in about 30 minutes . '

I smiled and sat down my phone and got up .

" Where you going ? " Ray asked .

" Out to lunch with Trevor . "

" Why ? " He asked .

" Because he wants to talk about some things . I'm guessing about the baby . "

I said as I grabbed some clothes to throw on .

" Why would you even let him see the baby after all the s**t he did to you ! " He yelled .

" Can you stop bringing up the f*****g past ! "

" Who the hell are you yelling at ? " He questioned as he walked up to me .

" Move the f**k out of my way . "

He began to ball up his fist . I knew damn well Ray wouldn't hit me , so I just looked at him .

He looked at me then walked into the bathroom slamming the door . I grabbed my purse then went into Savannah's room to see her fast asleep .

I kissed her goodbye then walked out to Trevor's car .

" Hey . " He smiled .

" Hey . "

I smiled as I buckled up then he drove off .

" I'll take that one . "

I said as I pointed to the ring . I was finally going to propose to Monica after all the s**t she's been through , I'm finally ready to ask her to marry me .

I paid for the ring then headed home .

[ Monica ]

" I was thinking about Melody . "

I smiled as I took a sip of my drink .

" I like that name . Melody it is . " He smiled .

I smiled as he called over the waiter to pay for our meal . I really did enjoy myself with Trevor .

" You ready to go ? " He asked .

" Yeah . "

He helped me up then we walked outside to his car . He helped me into the car then got in the car hisself . He started up the engine then drove me home .

" Thanks for today . Um tomorrow I'm gonna go look at some things for Melody , do you wanna come ? "

" Yeah that be great . Just call me and I'll come pick you up . " He smiled .

I smiled and kissed his cheek then got out of the car . I waves bye to him then went into the house .

" Mommy ! " Savannah yelled as she seen me .

I smiled and hugged her .

She smiled and hugged my belly .

" What's the baby's name mommy ? " She asked .

" Melody . "

" When did you decide that ? " Ray asked .

" Me and Trevor did over lunch today ."

" So you pick a name without me ! " Ray yelled .

" I was gonna tell you about it . "

" Man whatever . You wanna be all buddy buddy with that nigga . Man f**k you ! " Ray shouted .

" Your going to far with this ! "

He walked up to me , backing me up against the door .

" Nah that's some f****d up s**t , I've been with you since day one and helped you with the baby that isn't even mines ! Now Trevor wants to come into your life , you wanna just forget about me . " Ray said .

I pushed him out of the way and walked upstairs . I changed into some different clothes then laid down .

I felt the bed sink , Ray wrapped his arms around me but I pushed him away . He better move the f**k around with that s**t .
