Advisor POV
There are more uprisings popping up. I took a trip around Blytheria in hopes to understand the root of the problem. What I saw shocked me to the core. There were homeless stuck on the streets. Businesses were collapsing and there was a major drought throughout the planet. I watched as messengers were asking for more taxes while the people starved. I went in disguise so no one could identify me. People came up to me and begged for food and money and it just broke my heart. I knew that when I went home, I would have my work cut out for me.
I dreaded going back for the king was not an easy man. His parents rest their souls were very good people who led with grace and mercy. Their son Maddox is a very complicated man. he is hard to get long with even I don’t fully know what he is capable of. The stone castle loomed in view and I hoped that he would listen to what I have to say with an open heart and mind. My driver pulled up to the castle and in I went after 3 months I was home.
Nothing had changed the entrance was still an open area with stairs that loomed in front. I walked through the hall just right of the stairs that led to the kitchen and throne room. I walked up to the entrance of the throne room where King Maddox spends most of his time. I was greeted with two massive doors that blocked the entrance. I quietly passed the guards and entered careful not to disturb the king while he was listening to some grievances. I quietly snuck up on the raised dais careful not to disturb and reached y place in the back behind the king.
The king looked bored and a little upset but he waited patiently while the two made their case against one another. He looked regal in his royal blue suit with a white sash. his dark brown hair was sleeked back and his brown eyes showed his emotions quite clearly. He motioned me forward looking for advise on how I would deal with the situation and after listening I came up with a compromise and made the solution known to the king. He listened carefully and decided against my idea. He chose an idea against both and instead of resolving it he punished them both for wasting his time. He told them that they could figure it out for themselves. He had the lashed 10 times before releasing them. I realized in that moment that if I relayed the case for his citizens, he will find a way that will hurt everyone and not just his people.

*how was the trip and have you found reasons why I must deal with these stupid uprisings? * & I have but I don’t think you will like what I must say. & *Just say what you found I will figure out a solution. * & The people are starving due to a major drought that has swept the planet. Businesses are on the brink of collapse due to the high level of taxes. The mount of homeless are on the rise also due to the high tax rates. I think cutting back the taxes might be the best option in my humble opinion. & *are you trying to tell me how to run my kingdom? * &No, your majesty I am just saying that it was one solution. & *Good I would hate it if my advisor would betray me. Now Emmet I think I found the solution to our problem. War. * & Very well your majesty shall I get the troops ready for you? & *No, I will do it myself you are dismissed. *
I left knowing that war will make things worse I needed to bide my time and find a way to help the citizens without the king’s knowledge. The consequences could prove fatal. I made it up to my room and started to devise a plan that would keep me safe while I helped others. I began looking for people in the castle I could trust. Days turned to weeks I started finding ways to invest the castle resources back into the populace while the king started the war on Lycanth. I was left out of the plans so I had no idea what was going on underneath my nose. I knew however it wasn’t just Lycanth he went to war on. Soon the whole universe would be the battle ground leaving no planet untouched.
