Chapter 28“Get off of me!” Eirian shouted in rage, struggling in the grasp of the various guards holding them down. “Get your hands off of me!” Above them, the speakers broadcast a continuous warning, office workers hastily moving out of the way of guards and meows with coloured armbands. Over and over, they continued to call out, to rail against the men who held them down—and then abruptly, they heard singing, beautiful, childlike singing full of innocence and wonder.
