Chapter4

I begged my father for forgiveness. "Father, please! It istake!" But rather than have mercy on me, he refused. "Now you will go to the Alpha that you so shamefully opened your legs to. You disgustingly disgraceful child!

At that moment, I felt doomed. How could I face the Alpha after what had happened? How could I tell him I was pregnant from our one-night stand? My life was blowing out of proportion, and I was devastated. Teary-eyed and hopeless, I even wished for death to release me from the humiliation and hurt awaiting me.

Those images of how the Alpha was notorious for mistreating women and killing innocent humans, really swarmed my mind, filled with dread. I couldn't stop myself from thinking, 'How will my life be? Will I be able to survive this? What will he do to me?' All that swam within my head, knocking me out, overwhelmed and terrified.

Just then, my father's voice rose, laced with anger and resolve. He was calling the Alpha and threatening to report him to the Elder of the Council for r****g his daughter. 'You'll pay for what you've done!' he growled; the echoes of his voice still echoed in the room.

My father's words cut deep; his tone was sharp and unforgiving. 'I'm sending your pregnant mate right now,' he spat. 'She no longer belongs here in our pack. You can do whatever you like with her.' Being cast out of my father's house in disgrace-to leave the only home I had ever known-was almost too much to bear. A wave of despair washed over me as I realized there was no choice for me except to leave.

"At this point, my father got worse and continued beating me mercilessly. Then he told his guards to take me away, shouting, 'bundle me up and put me in the car!' Then, the guards dragged me away, enquiring from father to desist, which he refused to do. "He thundered loud, the whole room reverberating with the hollow voice of his, 'Take her out of here!' Then my gaze met Elora-my stepmother-and Lyra-my stepsister-looking at all this drama with smirking eyes. Their cruel looks dug into my heart like a knife, making anguish and pain more unbearable.

Kael snickered at me, and his voice reeked of disdain. 'Hey girl, sorry about that unwanted pregnancy.' He then burst into fits of laughter, relieving himself of the misery that was my life. 'I'm nice enough to drive you to your new pack, don't you think? ' His words cut deep and hurt. 'My best decision was rejecting you as my mate, he taunted. 'I never regretted it.' I couldn't help myself, bursting into tears, and Kael was merciless. 'Hey dear, don't cry yet.

This is just the beginning of your miserable life.'" Kael was driving me to the pack where the Alpha stayed, and he didn't waste any moment belittling me. 'Well, if you can't be an Alpha queen here, maybe you can be a Luna in your new pack,' he sneered.

His words cut deep, and a wave of pain washed over me. My tears were unstoppable, and the sobs racked me with a violence that seemed to emanate from the pit of my stomach. I felt like I was at the very bottom, and in one brief, terrible moment, the thought of dying even crossed my mind and I wished for an escape from the agony.

Kael's merciless taunts cut into my heart like a knife. When we came near the Alpha pack, Kael pulled me out of the car and stood me facing him. "This is where you will now be staying," he sneered. "You can stay here." Then he roughly pushed me and yanked my luggage down with no pity at all. Standing there, I finally viewed Alpha; his expression was mean and cold toward me.

His gaze pierced right through me, and suddenly, I was an unwanted burden." The Alpha's (ryker) gaze was filled with hate and strained as he scanned me up and down. 'What's wrong with you? ' he sneered.

'You think you're pregnant, and suddenly, you're worthy of being my mate?

He took another step closer; his laughter mocked me.

'You got pregnant from a one-night stand, and now you think you can just waltz in here and become my Luna?'

His words were dripping with disdain, and his contempt washed over me like a cold wave."

The face of Alpha Ryker distorted in disgust as he spat out his

words.

'You can stay in my pack, but only as a breeder, not as my mate. You are not worthy of being my mate. You are only going to be a vessel to my heir, nothing more.' His tone was all condescending and inhuman, as though I was an inanimate thing in front of him.

'I can use you however I want, and that is going to be all you will ever be to me. The Alpha's eyes blazed with contempt as he sneered at me. "Don't even dare to think that you will ever be my mate," he spat, venomous. "You don't deserve to be.

Not for a second. I hate you. I despise you from the bottom of my heart." He repeated the words a couple of times for emphasis, his tone rising higher with menace. "I hate you. I despise you. To me, you are nothing but a breeder, a means to an end.

Never forget that. The words of the Alpha, Ryker, had slowly seeped into my brain, and I was overcome by the wave of despair that suddenly swept over me. I began to cry, and in my soul stirred a deep pain. "I've ruined my life," my inner voice whispered.

“I let alcohol blind my judgment, and now it's time to pay the price. I'd been run out of my own home, shunned by my father and my mate. He chose my sister over me, and thus the dreams shattered into pieces.

Everything that I own-my title, my status-has been taken away from me and given to my sister.

And now, as the peaking on the cake, I am carrying the child of an Alpha who despises me.

I am doomed, utterly doomed. The voice of the Alpha-ryker-boomed, and I jumped. 'Will you just stand there crying like a fool? ' he bellowed.

'Get out of here, you foolish being!

I knew I had to hurry, so I gathered my things quickly and packed them haphazardly. By now, I knew this was going to be my starting misery.

'Get out!' he yelled on top of his lungs, and I didn't have any other choice but to follow. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, eager to take me away from that toxic atmosphere-the cruel words brought forth by the Alpha.

And that's just the start. I heard the Alpha's voice echo in my head, and everything said and done was still fresh in my memory. I knew right then and there that he was a malevolent Alpha, one that would stop at nothing in the name of power and dominance.

The malice and disdain against me were palpable, sending runs of shivers down my spine with what was in store. I knew I had to be strong, but the fear and uncertainty overwhelmed me."undefI'm pregnant with my father's enemy,

Alpha Ryker's child, and now I have to stay in his pack as a breeder. This is a terrible start. The fear of being the daughter of his enemy is still grooming me, getting worse each day.
