“Are you okay?” Alaric asks, taking my hand, and I smile at him and tell him I am, but he doesn’t believe me. We are currently at his house in LA, and we’ve just returned from the club. Today is Alaric’s birthday, and he invited me. After dinner with his parents, the twins had a whole party planned. They booked a club. I didn’t feel like going to the club, but I didn’t want to ruin anyone’s fun, so I went. But while there, we realized everyone was having a good time but us. We didn’t want to be there. So, while everybody was busy having the time of their lives, we sneaked out. I actually felt bad, but Alaric said I shouldn’t. He said his siblings won't miss us, adding it was never about him.
