“To whom are you talking? Why are you smiling?" Noelle asks, snatching my phone out of my hand, and I tell her I’m talking to Cam, getting it back and earning a surprised look from her. "What? When did that happen?"
"It didn’t, at least not yet."
“Then how come you are texting? What did I miss?" She asks, and I put the phone inside my bag to give her my full undivided attention. I’m done with Cam, anyway. I haven’t had time to update Noelle about my and Cam’s situation. He called last night as agreed upon, and I pretended to go to Allira. I knocked at the cottage even though I knew there was no one there, and I pretended that Allira didn't want to talk to him. He was hurt, I could hear it in his voice, and I wanted to throw up. What the hell is wrong with him?
