“Come, I want to dance,” Merlot says, getting up from my lap and taking my hand. “Come Kas,” she adds, and Kasey gets up too and we head downstairs to the dance floor. I’m in no mood to dance, but I know saying no to Merlot will not work. I was already in bed when she told me they came to the club. I could tell she was drunk and the idea of the two of them here alone didn’t sit well with me, especially after she told me they didn't even have a driver. They took an uber. Kasey said she was going to a party at a friend’s house and would be riding with Merlot. That's why my parents told our driver to drop her off at Merlots'.
We head downstairs and just as we climb down the last flight of stairs, I feel eyes on me and I look to my right to find Noelle glaring at me,
