“Pleaseee,” Lily continued as she gave him a puppy eye look.
Adrian looked at me then looked back at Lily.
“No,” Adrian said but I didn't allow him to hurt my baby.
“Ummm Lily, never mind that. I can feed you okay, come on open your mouth baby. You know your new uncle is a very busy person,” I told Lily.
Adrian took the plate of food from my hands.
“You don't even have to ask silly, that's what I wanted to add if your mom didn't cut me short,” Adrian added.
Lily let out a huge smile.
“Yaaay!” She yelled excitedly.
Adrian sat in the chair next to me and drew it closer to Lily.
“Okay big girl open up, the airplane is flying into your mouth. Vuuuuu open wider, yaaay…. Now another one,” Adrian said.
For the very first time, I saw a genuine smile creep out of Adrian's lip
