Josie's POV Darkness swallowed the room in an instant. Gasps echoed across the crowd as confused voices filled the air. Somewhere near the stage, someone dropped a glass, the sharp sound shattering into the noise. My pulse raced as I felt Alexander's hand immediately grip mine in the darkness, pulling me slightly closer to his side.
