Lily covered her mouth, trying not to laugh.
Even Victor's lips twitched.
Jake finally glanced over his shoulder.
"I'm standing in front of you."
"I noticed."
"I'm staying here."
"I noticed that too."
Alice gently touched his arm.
"Jake."
His expression softened immediately.
She smiled.
"I appreciate the whole protective Alpha thing."
His wolf practically wagged its tail.
