Jamie Marcello POV: After my sisters left for school and my parents went to work, my mum went to her restaurant and dad went off doing mafia duties, I went upstairs to my bedroom. I needed some time alone, and this f*****g break from college was the exact thing I needed. I lay down on my bed with a book in my hands, reading. This is exactly the peace I need. I continued my reading until my darling twin, Jamies, decided to come and bless me with his presence …. Note the sarcasm. Jameis barged into my room all dressed up, then walked up to me on the bed and yanked the book from my hand. “Dude, what the f**k?” I exclaimed He held a scowl on his face, glaring at me. “Why the f**k are you not dressed yet?” he asked me. “And why exactly would I be dressed?” I asked him, confused. “Of course” …he mumbled while covering my book in his face. “The boys texted and said we should meet at our house; I don’t even know why you have a phone and won’t use it,” he explained. Well…. There was no way I would have known that, since I put my phone on silent because I didn’t want to be disturbed. I yanked my book back from him and continued reading. “Why do you need me? can’t you go alone? I don’t really want to go anywhere right now, “I informed him. "No, no, no ...you are going with me whether you want to or not. I have left you by yourself since we got back, but not today. So, get your ass off the bed and get ready this minute," he said while glaring at me and pushing me off the bed. I knew I couldn’t say no to him anymore, so I went into my walk-in closet and dressed up. I dressed up in all black with white sneakers and a little black bracelet on my wrist. I came out of my closet to see my brother on my bed scrolling through his phone. He is definitely on Tinder…. My brother is a player, changes girls like clothes. He loves living life, f*****g around, and partying. He is like our uncle Aless. I picked up my car keys from inside the drawer, then I went to him and tapped him and said Let’s go. He was already dressed, so we just went outside to the compound in the manor where our cars are parked. I got into my Mercedes G-Class SUV, while my brother got into his Lamborghini Aventador. We drove us to our house, which dad bought for us when we clocked 16. Since we told him we needed privacy from the manor because we were surrounded by girls, and sometimes, we needed to invite our friends over, and I honestly would not like any of those players I called friends to ogle at my sisters. The house was two streets away from the manor. My brother and I literally raced to the house, but it was a tie. We drove inside the building to the garage, seeing the guy’s cars parked there. we got out of our cars and walked in with the bodyguards stationed at the house, greeting us. We entered the house and saw the guys seated around the living room. They were four of them: Dray, Aidan, Miller, and Derek. They are all from wealthy homes, but they were not in the mafia nor did they have any idea we were, and we all went to the same high school, and now we are all in the same college. We have been friends since forever, and we were all the same age except Aidan, who is a year younger than us. I walked to the couch in the living room and sat down while my brother and the guys greeted each other with a friendly hug. I took out my phone and scrolled through it, already bored. It’s not that I hate the guys; I just prefer my solitude, and sometimes they understand that. My brother was the social butterfly. “Jamie, what’s up dude?” Dray said, turning to me while sitting on the couch Yayy time to socialize……… Note the sarcasm
