Federico pov:
We landed in Russian airport, still in the jet and Dario and Massimo excused us.
“You know the drill”, I told my brothers.
“Of course, Federico” Fabrizio replied.
We hugged each other in a circle and bowed our heads. We come out of this alive, or we die trying, but we must uphold the Marcello name.
We got out of the jet. My brothers and I except Aless. He never went to the battlefield. He is very good at tech, and he loved it, so he concentrated on that. It doesn’t mean he can’t fight.
As we got down from the jet, I saw all my men waiting there with our transport. I looked at them and nodded at them with my face hardened.
My brothers, Dario, Massimo and I got into the same car, we drove off to their main base and my men went in according to the plan. While the rest of us stood hiding behind the trees, Fabrizio distributed the guns to us and the grenades which we inserted into our gun holsters and bulletproof vests.
We stood behind the trees waiting for the signal from the batch of men who went in. Then we heard from Aless from the EarPods that he couldn’t see anything from the drone.
“Move the damn drone around Aless” Fabrizio yelled at him.
“That’s what I’m doing, but I can’t see any damn thing, it’s all foggy” Aless replied.
"What about our men?"I asked.
“They are in the fog because I can’t see them” he replied.
“Damn!!!” Rizio exclaimed.
I looked at the heavy gates in front of us, trying to think about what could be going on.
“Guys get the remaining men and come back” Aless said fearfully.
“Hell no, we are seeing this through” Fabrizio responded.
After a minute, a loud scream echoed through our ears.
“Ahhh!!!” Aless screamed through the earpod.
“What the hell dude!!"Massimo, one of my trusted men, screamed at Aless.
“What happened, Aless?” I asked him.
“T-T-They are all dead” he stammered.
“What the f**k do you mean by they are all dead?” Amadeo finally spoke up.
Fabrizio and I looked at each other.
“Well, there is no more fog and all I see are dead bodies everywhere, all our men are dead on the floor and there are heavily armed guards pacing about” he explained.
My brothers and I looked at each other, clenching our fists. We were all thinking the same thing. This only means that we have a mole in our midst. But we didn’t say it aloud. I just focused on what we were going to do next.
“We are going to continue this mission once and for all. We will not let them win” I told them sternly.
“Change of plans everyone. The second batch of 50 men who were supposed to go in search of the drugs. You guys will divide yourselves into 2 groups. Aless will get a gas mask for everybody and helicopters. A few of our men would get in the helicopters and start shooting at those armed guards from above.” I ordered into the ear pod so the leaders of the two groups would hear
“King, I definitely can’t get almost 50 gas masks “
“For now Aless, I just need 5. You can get the rest later” I replied to him.
“Okay king and how many helicopters? “
“Just 5”
“King, what are you doing? We have to retreat” Dario said, but I didn’t reply
“If you want to go ahead with this mission, then you listen to me, but if you want to leave and go back home ,you are free to go“I told my men through the EarPods
But none of them left.
“We are here with you, King “One of the leaders of the group, Snake
“Family first, Always King” the other leader of group, sparrow said our mafia motto.
I nodded even though I knew they could not see me.
“Aless how soon can the helicopter get here?” I asked him.
“In 10 minutes, king”
You might be wondering how on earth the helicopters are so close when we aren’t even in our country. Well, they are always part of our transport detail, but we don’t bring them to battle until we need them.
In exactly 10 minutes, the helicopters surrounded the base, flying above the sky.
“King, how are we going to get rid of the gas?” Massimo asked.
“We are not going to” I said.
"Aless as soon as the masks get here, get them to me immediately" I said to him.
“Firstly, get me in contact with the men in the helicopters” I told him.
I waited for a minute.
“King, you are in contact with them”
“Hello guys” I said sternly.
“Yes king” different voices of my men replied.
“Okay, this is what is going to happen. On my call, you are to shoot down every guard you see surrounding their base, then bomb specifically the west wing of the base” I ordered
"Okay king, we understand"They replied.
“Snake and sparrow, tell your men to move away from the building while the men do their job” I ordered the men's team members.
“Okay guys on my call……... Now” I gave the men the order.
Immediately, there were gunshot sounds from the east, west, north and south of the building.
Then, after minutes, the shootings stopped, and then came a loud explosion from the bomb blowing up the west wing of the base.
Almost immediately we started hearing gunshots sounds which only meant the Russians were shooting back.
